Dr. Gonzalo Salinas

Gonzalo Salinas is a Senior Economist in the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund. His research focuses on development economics, international trade and economic growth. At the IMF he has been in charge of several African countries, including Nigeria, and is currently working on several Caribbean nations. Prior to joining the IMF, he served as a consultant to the Peruvian Ministry of Finance, the Peruvian Institute of Economics, Harvard University’s Center for International Development, and the World Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Oxford University and a master’s degree in international development from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Public Administration. |
